Terms of service
Last updated 14 October 2026
Tacit (tacitme.com) is run by Kulchandra Kandel, an individual based in India (“we”). By using Tacit, its skills or its connectors, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Tacit. Questions: hi@tacitme.com.
What Tacit is
Tacit offers skills: written instructions, based on how experienced people do a job, that an AI such as ChatGPT or Claude follows. You can read them on the site, open them in an AI app, or let your AI use them through our connectors. Skills are currently free to use.
Skills are not professional advice
A skill guides your AI; it isn't advice from the expert, and the AI's answers can be wrong or incomplete. Some skills are drafts that their expert owner hasn't reviewed yet, and they're marked that way. Check important results yourself, and for legal, medical, financial, tax or other high-stakes decisions, talk to a qualified person.
Your account
Give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at hi@tacitme.com if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what apps you connect to it do there. You need to be 18 or older to create an account.
Connecting apps
When you connect an app such as Claude or ChatGPT to your account and press Allow, you let that app search and use skills, save and remove skills in your library, save private drafts and list your library on your behalf. It can't publish, change or delete your published skills. You can stop it at any time by removing the connector in that app. Each app's own terms also apply to it.
What you publish
- You keep ownership of the skills and drafts you write.
- When you publish a skill, you let us host, display and share it, and let people and their AI apps read and use it, for as long as it's published. You can delete it at any time.
- Only publish what you have the right to share. A skill based on a book or someone else's method needs their permission; don't include other people's confidential information or personal data.
- Don't publish skills that tell an AI to do something harmful, illegal or deceptive, or that try to make an AI misuse its tools or other people's data.
We may remove a published skill, or suspend an account, that breaks these terms.
Using Tacit fairly
Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of Tacit, access other people's accounts or drafts, or impersonate someone. Reasonable automated reading of public skills and of skills.json and llms.txt by AI agents is welcome.
Other people's skills
Community skills come from public sources and stay under their authors' own licences, which we show with each one. Skills published by other users are theirs; we don't check every skill before it appears.
Changes and availability
Tacit is early, and we may change, pause or stop parts of it. We may update these terms; we'll change the date above when we do, and continuing to use Tacit means you accept the new terms.
No warranty, and limits on liability
Tacit is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make using skills or an AI's answers. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that can't be excluded.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over disputes about them.
